Description

Principle of the Assay: The Mouse CD120a ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse CD120a in Cell Culture Supernates, Serum. This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse CD120a coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and CD120a present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Mouse CD120a antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CD120a bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, which also contains TNFRSF1B. And this protein is one of the major receptors for the tumor necrosis factor-alpha. This receptor can activate the transcription factor NF-kappaB, mediate apoptosis, and function as a regulator of inflammation. Antiapoptotic protein BCL2-associated athanogene 4 (BAG4/SODD) and adaptor proteins TRADD and TRAF2 have been shown to interact with this receptor, and thus play regulatory roles in the signal transduction mediated by the receptor
